VINTAGE - 2025
VARIETY - 100% Riesling
REGION - Watervale, Clare Valley

Vineyard

This wine comes from premium, dry-grown vineyards including the Eaton Vineyard, in the renowned Watervale subregion of the Clare Valley — long celebrated for producing Australia’s most distinctive Rieslings. The vines are rooted in classic terra rossa soils over limestone, contributing both purity and structure to the wine. The vineyards are hand-pruned and shoot thinned, and the fruit is harvested in the cool of night to capture freshness and vibrancy.

The 2025 season provided ideal conditions for Riesling. Warm days and cool nights allowed the fruit to ripen fully while retaining its natural, vibrant acidity and lifted aromatics — ideal for a focused, expressive wine. This wine continues a lineage of awarded vintages, shaped by place, season and a consistent, careful hand.

Winemaking

We always say that Riesling is made in the vineyard. So, once the fruit was harvested in the cool of the morning and delivered to the winery, this wine was gently handled with minimal intervention and precise attention to detail in order to preserve the freshness and flavour that is the hallmark of Watervale Riesling.

The Wine

Very pale with green highlights.

The nose is lifted and expressive, with lemon and lime at the forefront, layered with citrus blossom, green apple, and a subtle sherbet note.

The palate is ripe and full-flavoured, with lime juice, passionfruit, and grapefruit flavours supported by fine natural acidity and a crisp texture. The wine’s freshness carries through to a long, persistent finish.

Delicious now for its vibrancy and energy, the 2025 Watervale Riesling will also gain further complexity over the next 5+ years.
