VINTAGE - 2025
VARIETY - 100% Pinot Noir
REGION - Adelaide Hills
Vineyard
From a single vineyard high in the Piccadilly Valley, this Pinot Noir is grown on a cool, west-facing slope at elevation. Closely planted MV6 vines grow in free-draining sandy loam soils, where the cool conditions and slow ripening encourage the development of incredibly elegant fruit. Hand-picked at optimum ripeness, the fruit captures the delicate fragrance and distinctive character of this special site.
Winemaking
Hand-picked and destemmed into open fermenters, with 10% whole bunches retained to add aromatic complexity and structure. Following a 24-hour cold soak, fermentation was initiated with cultured yeast and proceeded over nine days, with gentle hand plunging to manage extraction and preserve the delicate character of the fruit. The wine was matured for nine months in French oak barrels before bottling without fining or filtration.

The Wine
Bright ruby garnet in colour. The nose is delicately fragrant and complex, with bright red fruits complemented by subtle earthy spice and hints of toasted oak. The medium-bodied palate reveals layers of raspberry and rhubarb, supported by fine, velvety tannins and savoury notes of fennel and pepper. Elegant and finely structured, the wine finishes long and poised, with a beautiful interplay of fruit and savoury complexity.
Cellaring
Enjoy now or cellar for 3–5 years to allow further complexity to develop.
Food Pairing
Beautiful alongside savoury dishes featuring mushrooms, herbs and earthy flavours, like a mushroom and herb tart.
